享譽「臺灣愛迪生」與「臺灣最具產值發明家」之稱，深耕科創領域近 40 載，個人經歷收錄於台灣教科書。累計申請專利 400 餘項，四大代表發明涵蓋紅外線感應水龍頭、汽車防盜遙控器、藍牙耳機與 HD 藍光 DVD，相關技術與產品商業化交易額達數億元。17 歲即以「紅外線水源控制器」獲 150 萬元專利授權，翻轉家庭命運；曾任最年輕台灣地區國會議員，並以發明頂尖成就成為技職體系破例直升大學教授第一人。亦曾任台灣積體電路（TSMC）創意發明專題講師、臺灣工業技術研究院 TISA 藍光技術召集人與發明創意中心 U19 計畫召集人。長期帶領青少年斬獲多項國際發明大獎，並締造國際發明展史上最年輕金獎得主紀錄。
Celebrated as "the Edison of Taiwan" and the island's most commercially prolific inventor, with nearly 40 years in innovation and a biography featured in Taiwan's textbooks. Holder of more than 400 patents — his four signature inventions being the infrared sensor faucet, the automotive anti-theft remote, the Bluetooth headset and HD Blu-ray DVD — with commercialized technology valued in the hundreds of millions. At 17 he licensed his infrared water-source controller for NT$1.5 million, transforming his family's fortunes. A former youngest-ever legislator in Taiwan, he became the first person promoted directly to university professor from the vocational-technical system on the strength of his inventions, and has served as a creative-invention lecturer for TSMC and as Blu-ray technology convener (TISA) at Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute. He has led young inventors to international gold medals, setting the record for the youngest gold medalist in invention-exhibition history.
